Bertram C. Whitney (b.-1870) managed a widespread array of theaters and theatrical productions, including the Detroit Opera House. He was active from the mid 1880s through at least the mid 1920s. In this letter to Lawrence T. Berliner (1881-1969), a sometimes correspondent to various trade publications, Whitney quotes the availability and royalty rates for various plays that he controls.
