The merest trace of tanning to the leaf margins and a short crease to one corner of the rear free endpaper. In virtually fine state with fine non-price-clipped dust wrapper. The first of the author's Inspector Frost mysteries, originally written in 1972 at the prompting of Macmillan (and spurred on by a non-refundable advance of £50), the manuscript was promptly rejected, before eventually being published in Canada in 1984.
