Gilt lettering on spine. Beautiful green and white marbled endpapers. Original paper spine tipped in on a front flyleaf. 5 3/4" x 8," 338 pages, complete. Table of Contents in back. Front colophon: "It a ete tire de cet ouvrage douze cents exemplaires sur papier velin du Marais tous numerotes. No. 1,005." Pages are virtually pristine and intact except for the occasional small mark, minuscule age toning throughout, and foxing mostly limited to edges of text block. Covers are very clean and intact overall but the boards have faded to mostly light brown and there is offsetting on front and slight wear to extremities. Binding is tight. A Very Good copy. The book is divided into three parts, "Le Crime de Lord Arthur Savile et Autres Histories" ("Lord Arthur's Crime and Other Stories"), a collection of mystery stories; "Le Prince Heureux et Autres Contes" ("The Happy Prince and Other Tales"), a collection of short stories; and "La Maison des Grenades" ("A House of Pomegranates"), a collection of fairy tales.
