Willard touches upon several subjects; among them are a verse from the Book of John which commends John the Baptist and "gospel ministers" who are exceptional in their charge. Willard explains what makes an exceptional gospel minister which includes fully invested devotion and nurturing virtue within themselves and their parishioners. Willard also gives brief biographical information of Hilliard and praises his character and virtue. He also refers briefly to the final days of Hilliard. Timothy Hilliard (1746-1790) was an American minister. He was also involved with Harvard University in promotional efforts. Hilliard passed away at the age of 44 following a short illness. Joseph Willard ( 1738-1804) was an American Congregationalist minister. He served at a pastor at the First Congregational Church in Beverly, Massachusetts. He also served as President of Harvard University from 1781-1804.. Book. Book Condition: Good. Binding: Soft cover
