The first trade edition of the Welsh tramp-poet's first book. Slim 8vo. 44pp. Letters card wrappers, with the backstrip paper defective and the rear wrapper detached but present. A good copy, very crisp internally. Fourteen poems. Davies had self-published a small unsuccessful limited edition of this same collection two years earlier. Only sixty of those 200 copies sold, but one of them ended up in the hands of the journalist and writer Arthur St John Adcock who admired the collection and arranged for this trade edition to be published to some considerable acclaim (second and third editions appeared in 1908 and 1910 respectively).
