A beautiful book with brown limp suede binding, cloth endpapers, and a gilt illustration of a mountain on front cover. Contains numerous reprinted photographs of Mount Rainer and Mount Rainier National Park. Contents include a poem, "The Mountain Speaks," and the following chapters: "Mount 'Big Snow' and Indian Tradition," "The National Park, Its Roads and Its Needs," "The Story of the Mountain," "The Climbers," and "The Flora of the Mountain Slopes.".
