Claire Windsor (1892-1972) won a beauty contest in Seattle and moved to Hollywood in 1920 getting bit parts till THE BLOT (1921) and being named a WAMPAS Girl in 1922. She played mainly 'upscale society girl roles', by 1924 she was one of MGM's first major stars during the 1920s. Though passing the test with the studio to make talkies she retired in 1932.. Book.
