From 1934 to his death in 1971, Alberto Magnelli (born in 1888 in Florence, came to live in Paris in 1931) produced nearly a hundred prints which led in 1980 to a retrospective at the National Library of France. This first catalogue raisonné reproduces in color all of Magnelli prints, as well as all variations known (also reproduced in color) of each plate. Each print is accompanied by a technical description of the steps of its realization and the list of public collections which have the work.
