Folio. 190pp, appendices, index, illustrated with 24 full-page plates, most printed on both sides, a few in color, and 72 figure drawings, limited edition No. 422 signed by author, brown cloth with gilt lettering and coat of arms at cover, brown pastedowns and first flyleafs, a few ripples noted at front cover, light foxing noted at first few and final few pages including brown flyleafs, overall a bright, clean copy in very scarce dust jacket with moderate to heavy general wear and soiling, chipping noted along the edges, 2 chips noted at rear panel; front flap missing although it is discrete when the book is closed as jacket is housed in protective Brodart cover. This copy additionally includes a long inscription at front signed by author, "To Mrs. Philip Lansdale / with best wishes from / the author / 12 August 1930 O. B." There is a very small chip / hole at the inscription page not affecting the inscription. Some faults noted in pictures but Abebooks only allows 5, additional pictures on request. Scarce.. Book.
