451 pages (complete). A most clubbable copy. Fully bound in burgundy morocco. Marbled end papers, marbled paper trims. The front face has the emblem of 'The Temple School' stamped in gilt. The boards have gilt borders. The spine has five ridges. The boards are worn about all edges from shelving. They are scuffed, rubbed, a little marked. The spine is sunned and worn. It is secure and fit. The boards are steady and sound. The front pastedown has an ex-libris plate showing previous ownership by Alpheus Fuller Williams, who for nearly fifty years worked with De Beers Diamond Company as a principal manager, in Kimberley. The plate illustrations is a drawing of the front of his house, Vergenoeg, in Muizenberg. The first free page has a previous owner signature, and a prize giving inscription (dated 1866). All illustration plates are present. Some are tinted. The contents are gently aging. They have rashes of mottling and foxing here and there.
