This set of cards is published within a project titled "Latvia. Synagogues and Rabbis, 1918-1940" - with a book of the same title having been published in Riga in 2004 by Rabbi Nathan Barban, Chief Rabbi of Riga and Latvia. Each postcard measures 4” by 6”; the front is a vintage sepia-toned photo (exterior or interior) of the synagogue, and on the reverse is a caption identifying the synagogue's name, its location, what material it is built of, the date of construction, and if applicable, the architect.
