A fine copy in the original imitation crocodile album, measuring 280 a 230mm, with 10 leaves of text and an index. There are 46 original photographs as called for in the index, all sepia images of snapshot size. Each of the names on the first leaf have also been identified in ink by their nicknames. The name presumably of the recipient of this copy H. STEVENTON O.B. is in gilt at the lower front corner of the album. It commemorates the Fifth Battle of Ypres, and is dedicated to Palin and Broome "whose initiative and total disregard when leading the mopping up party, saved the situation at the 5th Battle of Ypres".
