rebound beatifully in recent brown full leather. apart from the binding the book internally is poor. the preliminary pages are missing and the book starts on the first page. the last page also appears to be missing and the book ends on page 542. the book jumps from page 237 to 256 but this would appear to be an error in pagination as there appears to be no missing text.many of the pages show signs of wear, some quite substantial. the bookbinder has reinforced some pages at the back of the book. the map is present and has been reinforced by the binder. 2 of the hand coloured plates are present. an early travel book that was presented as fact but turned out to be pure fiction..
