Original billhead printed in black ink on light beige paper. Also includes handwriting in black ink and pencil. Datelined July 3, 1905 in Auburn, California. 8 1/2" x 7." Billhead is very clean and intact overall except for light age toning, two vertical fold lines, a few small punctures, tearing at one of the original punched holes at top, and slight wear to extremities. A Very Good copy. An original billhead from Davis & Smith of Auburn, California to "Messrs. Freeman & Walsh." There is one line item, "To repairing truck," which cost $1.00. The printed header reads, "To Davis & Smith, Dr., General Blacksmithing and Horseshoeing; Opposite Depot." The proprietors' names are also printed at top: "J. I. Davis" and "Harvey E. Smith.".
