Original billhead on beige paper with printed text and handwriting in black ink. There is a small black and white illustration that shows a couple of the store's machines, possibly a scouring machine and a leather splitting machine. Dated between 1882 and 1884. City and state are unlisted, but the address is "No. 100 High St., Rear Entrance, Matthews St." which may be in Minneapolis, Minnesota. 4 3/4" x 8 1/2." Billhead is very clean and intact overall but has a few horizontal and vertical fold lines. The handwritten portions include the name of the customer, the item(s) purchased, and the price of the item(s). The customer was "Estate P. O'Brien." The item(s) purchased take up one or two lines on the paper. The printed letterhead reads, "[Customer] Bought of E. D. Brooks & Co., Sole Agents for Fitzhenry's Improved Scouring Machines, and A. Richardson's Patent Union Leather-Splitting Machines, Also Importers and Dealers in Gambier, Bark Extracts, Leather, Tanners' and Curriers' Tools, &c."
