The jacket is in very poor condition. The front flap and cover is disconnected from the rest of the jacket although it remains attached to the book. The jacket is heavily chipped and is missing large chunks of the spine, which obscure the title and publisher. It is tanned and marked, but preserved in cellophane. The boards of the book are rather shelf rubbed and edge worn, and the spine discoloured slightly. The gold gilt has dulled, and has been rubbed off on the spine. Apart from this, the boards remain strong and whole. Internally, there is an ex-libris plate on the front pastedown, and there is some light marking and foxing along the edges.
