Uncommon, thus. Limited Edition, no. 227 of 500 copies printed by John Henry Nash. Original publisher's brown paper-covered boards in a 1/4 red leather double slipcase. A beautiful slipcase and book. Outer slipcase has a green and white pattern with multicolored floral motifs. The outer slipcase slides right up to the leather portion of the inner slipcase. Gilt lettering and two raised bands on leather spine. When the outer slipcase is taken off, the interior gray cloth portion of the inner slipcase is revealed. Slipcase measures 5 3/4" x 8." Book measures 5 1/8" x 7 1/2." Twenty-four pages, complete. One black-and-white illustrated frontispiece, complete. Pages and covers of the book are very clean and intact. Slight loosening along the gutter, but binding is still relatively tight. Slipcase is virtually pristine and intact except for a small bump at the top of the outer slipcase and minuscule corner and edge wear. A Fine book in a Fine slipcase. Back colophon: "Of this book there have been printed 500 copies; No. 227." Printed by John Henry Nash (1871-1947), the famous Bay Area printer.
