Two letters handwritten on beige paper in black ink. No date, circa 1950. One letter measures 5 1/2" x 8 1/2"; the other measures 8 1/2" x 11." Two pages (one page each). Signed "Robert Fitzgerald" on each one. Robert Stuart Fitzgerald (1910-1985) was an American poet, literary critic, and translator of ancient Greek and Latin literature. Fitzgerald worked for The New York Herald Tribune and Time magazine. In these two letters, Fitzgerald writes to Kirgo's and asks them to send his order of books. In one letter, he asks for F. M. Ford's Collected Poems, No. 95 and Nathanael West's Day of the Locust. The other letter includes his order for eight books.. Manuscript. Book Condition: Collectible-Very Good. Binding: No Binding
