Original billhead printed in black ink on light beige paper. Also includes handwriting in black ink and pencil. Datelined June 24, 1886 in San Francisco, California. 8 1/2" x 5 1/4." Billhead is clean and intact overall but has a large scribble in blue colored pencil on front, light age toning, slight wrinkling, and moderate staining (spot at center and several stains at left and bottom edges when viewed from front). A Good copy. An original billhead from Frankenthal, Bachman & Company of San Francisco, California to "J. Goldman & Co." of Tulare, California. J. Goldman & Company was once the largest general store of Tulare. J. Goldman & Co. purchased one line item, "2 Dz. Goggles." The printed header reads, "Bought of Frankenthal, Bachman & Co., Importers and Jobbers of Fancy Goods and Yankee Notions, S. W. Cor. Battery and California Streets. Complete Assortment of Stationery, Cutlery, Smokers' Articles, Playing Cards, Toy, Musical Instruments, Optical Goods, Fancy Goods, Hosiery, GLoves, and Yankee Notions." Additional text has a fill-in name which reads, "Forwarded for your account and risk, per L. [Marshall?] & Co." The names of the proprietors are also printed at top: "J. Frankenthal," "S.
