Title translates as: “Fish and Ring. ” This short monograph on the metaphor of fish and rings in the Bible and Talmud and various ‘popular’ manifestations of the usage and understanding of these symbolic forms, was written by Walter Friedemann, a now forgotten German-Jewish novelist. With authors handwritten dedication from February 1920. OCLC lists 2 copies worldwide (STAATSBIBLIO ZU BERLIN, NATL LIBR OF ISRAEL) . Covers worn and aged, with slight chipping to backstrip and outer edges. Corners bumped; crease-fold in the middle of the publication, resulting in a few page tears along crease in the margins of last few pages. Very good condition. (GER-36-48)
