Original billhead and handwritten medical prescription on beige paper with printed text and handwriting in black ink. No date, circa 1870-1900. 4 3/4" x 8." Paper is clean and intact overall but has a couple horizontal fold lines and some wrinkling. There is splitting along the folds (mostly on top fold). There is a small hole on the right side not affecting text. The printed letterhead reads, "G. G. Burnett, Chemist & Apothecary, 327 Montgomery St., S. F., Bet. Pine and California; Prescriptions Carefully Compounded." There are two prescriptions (two "Rx" symbols) with ingredients that include begonia[?], cough syrup, balsam, and acacia. "Luther Brown[?]" is written below the prescriptions. There is also handwriting on the back in pencil.. Ephemera. Book Condition: Collectible-Very Good.
