Two volumes (complete). Two stout, sturdy volumes. Both volumes are in combined / wallet format. The volumes open out with the book on the left and another book of plates and charts on the right. The books have scruffy plastic covers. These covers are secure. The boards of both volumes are marked from storage. They are benign, sound, steady, fit. Volume I : "Gold Deposits of the Witwatersrand Basin", has evidence of avid use throughout. The pages are relaxed, amenable, clean, clear, diligent. The contents of the volume of plates etc, are worn, creased. They are even yet, clean, healthy. Volume II : "Deposits of Some Minerals Outside the Witwatersrand Basin". Similar to Volume I. There are, however, some neat annotations throughout. The contents of the volume of plates are creased, but still hale and sound. The book is assured, competent, very certain.
