Bound in full deep green pebbled leather with gilt rectangular designs on the cover, five raised bands on the spine with gilt decorated compartments, all page edges gilt, marbled endpapers with leather banding with intricate gilt work framing the endpapers. Very attractive collection of Hood's poems, with an illustration by Dore as the frontis and several other of his illustrations throughout. GOOD+ condition. Moderate scuffing around the edges of the rear cover, light scuffing to the front. Darkening present along the extremities, with heavy darkening to the spine, resulting in dulling of the gilt work. Heavy scuffing to the hinges and bands of the spine. Corners scuffed and bumped. Minor soiling. Text is solid, with tissue guards protecting each illustration. Minor sporadic soiling throughout. A hint of foxing. General but mostly minor darkening to the pages. The number 2000 written in pencil on the last blank endpaper. Attractive copy in GOOD+ condition..
