the red boards are very worn and rubbed. the spine has lost a lot of the gold gilt in the title. the book has a child's signature and the paper has browned and there is some foxing. there is evidence of slight damp damage as some of the pages and plates are a bit curled and there is some bleeding of the red board colour onto the rear end page. that said the binding is excellent and the book is complete with all colour plates and tissue guards. one or 2 small tears.
