Cumberland Park Paradise Flycatcher.” Cumberland Nature Reserve on the Umgeni River was one of Jeff Huntly’s favourite spots in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands. In this sketch, the impression of the lichen-bedecked nest of the flycatcher is particularly well rendered. Scanned image readily available on request. Jeff Huntly, whose Veld Sketchbook column was enjoyed by thousands of readers, passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2008.
