Miss Miles writes in a dark green leather journal style book which measures 4" by 6". The actual first entry is dated Sunday July 29th, 1866 and the writing ends August 7th. It appears they are in England in the first entries and then later dates mention the Alps. It also appears she was traveling with her companion Nellie. Jeanie is a very spunky, bright young woman as is evidenced in her 22 pages wherein she details her day to day activities and with great personality and observational skills. On another 20 pages she wrote poetry and mostly of a humorous and ribald nature. Little wear on the cover, pages very nice. VG.. Book Condition: Very Good.
