Covers have slight darkening and several small spots or marks on front and back. Some splitting along the spine. Covers also slightly wrinkled. A Very Good copy. Printed on front cover: "This booklet contains the copy used in the 1929 International Typewriting Championship Content." Keystroke numbers are printed in the right side margin on each page for the typewriting contest. The essay is by J. N. Kimball who retells his personal experience of a tour to Sacramento and surrounding areas. While describing the local scenery, Kimball interweaves past episodes of history in Sacramento and nearby towns including stories of gold miners, Indigenous villages, abundant wildlife, and implementation of law and order..
