King, Billie Jean; Starr, Cythia : We Have Come A Long Way: The Story of Women's Tennis

McGraw-Hill, 1988

The verso of the front end page has been signed in black ink by the author, Billie Jean King, thus:"To Barney - The "Lefty" - Reading about all these champions will help you think like a winner. Let us make another bet - Thank you for your kindness through the years.Love, Billie Jean 1988"The boards are shelf rubbed and edge worn, particularly near the top and bottom edges of the spine, where it is creased and beginning to tear ever so slightly. The edges of the boards are faded and discoloured, but they remain whole and strong. The dust jacket is rubbed, marked and shelf worn, with a few small tears along the top edge near the spine. Despite this, it remains bright and whole. Internally, there are no other markings or inscriptions apart from that of the author, and the pages within are crisp, clean and complete. The binding is strong, and it is presented charmingly in cellophane. JV.K. Book Condition: Very Good. Binding: Hardcover. Jacket: Very Good
