Original blue cloth binding with printed paper spinal label. Pages uncut. The exact nature of this publication is somewhat of a puzzlement. In the bibliographies of Richard and John Landers this specific publication (two volumes in one) is not listed. The pagination corresponds to the two volume work published in 1832, Journal of an Expedition to Explore the Course of the Niger; with a Narrative of a Voyage Down that River to its Termination, by J. J. Harper. OCLC shows only two copies of the book in worldwide libraries. It is perhaps the first two volumes in one combined publication. The lack of illustrations and map is also unaccounted for.
