This edition was initially privately printed in 1926 and was then published for general circulation in July 1935. This volume is the sixth impression published in October 1935. This is a hefty book with roughly trimmed pages. The sand coloured cloth cover is much marked and worn. The bottom half of the cover is damp stained. Most of the back cover is damp stained. All corners have suffered from poor storage and shelving. The spine is faded and the print is illegible. The inside front cover has a gift inscription (not from the author) dated 3rd November 1936. Page 671 seam is cracked through to the stitching. Some of the many maps have been incorrectly refolded. However, the pages of this comprehensively illustrated (by the author) book are in very good condition throughout and are complete, firmly affixed and clear and clean. fk. Book Condition: Fair.
