Original billhead printed in black ink on yellow paper. Also includes handwriting in black ink and pencil. No date, circa 1900s (blank fill-in date of "190_" printed at top). Location is San Francisco, California. 8 1/4" x 7." Billhead is intact overall but has soiling at edges (dirt- or clay-like material), a small puncture at top (slightly affects customer's last name), a closed tear (measures about 1") at top edge, some offsetting or ink bleed, slight wrinkling, and moderate dampstaining and discoloration. A Good copy. An original billhead from Levi Strauss & Co., Inc. of San Francisco, California to "P. H. Hjul" of Eureka, Nevada. P. H. Hjul operated a store of the same name. Hjul purchased one line item, which is described in part as "Overalls." The printed header reads, "Bought of Levi Strauss & Co., Inc., 10 to 24 Battery Street.
