Top edge gilt, others untrimmed. With a frontispiece and thirty-three illustrations, each with a protective tissue-guard. Backstrip quite faded and boards a little damp-flecked and marked. Front endpaper hinge very slightly tender. With some extensive foxing to the preliminary leaves and some plates also affected, although to a significantly lesser extent.
