Pseudo-autobiography of noted 1820 Settler, who was one of the leading scientists and medical men of his times. He was renowned as authenticating the first SA diamond to be found, he made a trip to Namaqualand to evaluate the copper finds and spent time on the E Tvl goldfields. In addition he studied some of the early fossils finds made with A G Bain and had a lifelong interest in zoology, as well as making great contributions to the care of lepers and the mentally ill.
