The first UK printing of this English translation, limited to 750 numbered copies (this being #628). Whilst undated the publication date in 1931, not 1922 as many seem to believe (1922 being the date that the translation was completed, not published). 8vo. 118pp. Black smooth-weave cloth lettered in gold at the spine and with several small gilt-stamped vignettes. Top edge gilt, others untrimmed. With a silk marker ribbon. Some spotting to preliminary and concluding leaves. A very crisp copy, lacking the dust wrapper. Former owner gift inscription inked to the front endpaper. This Mansfield-Koteliansky translation, made during August-September 1922, was first printed in the US in 1928, in a limited issue of 400 copies. This Heinemann edition three years later marked the first UK appearance and it was then subsequently incorporated into the expanded Hogarth Press edition, 'Reminiscences', of 1934. Kirkpatrick B8b..
