With decorated endpapers and illustrations throughout contributed by Peter Blake, Richard Hamilton, Adrian Henri, David Hockney, Feliks Topolski and a score of others (apologies for the pun). Top edge lightly spotted, and with just a trace of very light marking to the margins of the cloth. A very good copy in the Peter Blake-designed dust wrapper, price-clipped and a little toned, rubbed and torn. A nice example of Horovitz's visual and literary elegy to 1960s association football. It was issued simultaneously in paperback and casebound format, alongside a signed limited edition of 100 copies, yet strangely this trade casebound issue appears to be the most uncommon of the three formats..
