deluxe binding. original green soft boards with gold gilt. an extremely well preserved book. the boards show minimal wear and the gilt is bright. gilt on page edges is bright the spine ends are slightly rubbed. the binding is excellent. the hinges at the rear show no wear at all. the front hinges have 2 tiny tears. the book has no inscriptions and is exceptionally clean internally. the top of the rear board is very slightly wavy. the silk book mark is present and attached. there are 2 repaired tears of a couple of cm affecting the frontis page and title page but these are barely noticeable..
