148 pages plus blank pages fore and aft. A wonderful curiosity. Erasmo Perchino did not exist! It was a false imprint by Benbow and Perkins in London (Soho). Benbow was eventually prosecuted not only for omitting the name of his printers but also for fraudulent publishing. This title was the only title published under the Erasmo Perchino imprint. The melodies, sweet, amorous and poetic are exact. This copy is quite charming and full of character. It has been rebound. Pocket sized. Embossed, impressed leather covers. These are rubbed by handling. There is wear to all corners, seams and edges. They are secure and benign. Within, there are blank pages before and after the text. The text pages themselves are full of character and curiosity. Imperfectly printed and set. The pages have marks from age and storage and use. They are genial, patient, clear, generous, spirited and really rather special. This is a VERY RARE copy of the 1823 edition.. Book Condition: Good. Binding: Hardcover.
