Twelve additional pages in back advertising Dr. Scholl's products. Ads come with illustrations in black-and-white and color. Name of "[Carl?] W. Reed" and his student number and date of "9/27/[19]32" are handwritten in fill-in spaces on title pages. Pages are virtually pristine and intact except for light to moderate age toning. Covers are very clean and intact but have slight rubbing to corners, outer joints, and head and tail of spine. A Very Good copy. An informative book about podology, also known as podiatry. The book iis divided into nine lessons which begin with the basic anatomy of the feet and proceed to diagnoses and treatments of different foot ailments such as "weak foot" ("flat foot"), weakened arches, bunions, corns and callouses, ingrown toenails, and foot inflammation. Some of the treatments involve the use of Dr. Scholl's products. Except from the Introduction: "The principal object of this course is to provide training for the student to enable him to intelligently inform foot sufferers how they can obtain relief from their discomforts and pains. Prepared for the instruction of druggists, pharmacists and their assistants, it gives them practical knowledge of the anatomy, physiology and the normal uses of the feet. In it are contained the complete, and again, intensely practical, outlines of foot troubles and their correction by the methods used in the wide and successful practice of Dr. Wm. M. Scholl, famous authority on the mechanical and orthopedic treatment of foot defects." Dr. William M. Scholl (1882-1968) was an American podiatrist and founder of his namesake foot care company, Dr. Scholl's. His company is still in business under the same name to this day.. Book.
