Original billhead printed in dark maroon ink on light brown paper. Also includes handwriting in black ink. Datelined December 1, 1897 in Sacramento, California. 8 1/4" x 6 3/4." Billhead is clean and intact overall but has browning, a few horizontal and vertical fold lines, and a few small closed tears and chips along edges. A Very Good copy. An original billhead from New York Bakery of Sacramento, California to "Miss W. Burgess." There are two line items that appear to be for past purchases in October and November. The description of each line item includes "[Loaves?] Bread." An inscription shows the bill was paid December 10, 1897. The printed header reads, "Bought of New York Bakery; Kent & Son, Proprietors; 1315 Third Street, Bet. M and N; Bread, Pies, Cakes, Etc." The street address has been corrected from 1015 Third Street to 1315 Third Street.. Ephemera. Book Condition: Collectible-Very Good.
