9 x 6 3/4 inch paper, folded in half and written on one side. Pencil notes on top, not affecting text. Dated January 24, 1903, from Indianapolis, Indiana. Addressed to "Mr. Pier". Meredith Nicholson (1866-1947) was a prominent Indiana author. He, along with Booth Tarkington and James Whitcomb Riley, are considered part of the Golden Age of Indiana Literature. This note accompanies a "short sketch by a young friend of mine who is the least of the Hossier literary pack". Mr. Nicholson advises Mr. Pier to "throw the ? back good and hard if you don't care for it".. Manuscript. Book Condition: Collectible-Very Good. Binding: No Binding
