Original leaflet printed on white paper. Text in black and green ink. 6 1/4" x 4 1/2." Four pages (one leaf folded in half and printed on all sides), complete. Leaflet is clean and intact overall but has vertical fold lines, splitting along fold lines (the largest measure about 1" from bottom edge), slight age toning, and a few wrinkles. A Very Good copy. A leaflet of instructions for the application of Omega Oil, a "counter-irritant" for a number of ailments, mostly related to aches and pains. Among the named ailments or injuries the medicine purportedly cures are "aching muscles," "sprains," "stiff neck," "backache," "bruises," "rheumatic pains," "tired, burning feet," "simple neuralgic and muscular aches caused by fatigue and over-exertion," "symptoms associated with chest colds," "muscular fatigue," "athlete's foot," and "chilblains--frostbite." Omega Oil was phased out in the United States c. 1942 by the FDA for stating false claims about its medicinal properties. However, Omega Oil is apparently still available for purchase in other countries and similar products may be available in the U.S.. Ephemera. Book Condition: Very Good. Binding: No Binding
