Original black-and-white group portrait photograph mounted on gray board. No printed publisher or date. Circa late 1890s in Ithaca, New York. Board measures 11 1/4" x 5 1/2." Photograph measures 9" x 3 1/2." Photograph and board are very clean and intact. The mat board has slight rubbing on the front and edge wear. The photograph has a few small surface marks and scratches. A Very Good copy. Archie B. Lueder (1876-1920) was from Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Cornell University in 1899 and went on to be a successful engineer. While at Cornell, he was a star athlete in both football and track, for a while holding the school's shot put record. This portrait shows him in a college group photograph, likely a fraternity or club photograph. All individuals in the photograph, including Lueder, are identified below on the mat board. Finely written in black ink are the names of the individuals, identified from left to right as, "Leslie McHara," "Ogden Merrill," "A. B. Lueder," "R. B. Mildon," "Friend P. Williams," "Calvin L. Barton," "Nathon S. Fisher," "Erwin E. Lanpher," "Harry W. Dennis," "Alex. Thomson Jr.," and "R. C. Taylor.". Photographic Image. Book Condition: Collectible-Very Good. Binding: No Binding
