Original stereocard on yellow board. Black and white photograph. No date, circa 1870s-1880s. Board measures 7" x 3 1/2"; photograph measures 4 7/8" x 2 3/4." A clean copy. Photograph shows a view looking down Charlotte Street in St. Augustine, Florida with buildings to either side. Title is printed in white at the bottom of the left image. "European and American Views." is printed on the left and right edges on the front of the board. On the back of the board is a purple stamp that says, "C. C. Rolfe, Oak Grove, Colorado." European and American Views were published during the 1870s and 1880s and are considered pirated stereoviews. The publisher was unidentified most of the time for these stereoviews, but the primary negative numbers placed by the original photographer were often included on the images.. Photographic Image.
