He says: "I knew a fellow once, who had two girls, and he couldn't make up his mind which one to marry. One of them was rich, and the most beautiful girl in the world, but she didn't know anything. The other was distressingly ugly, but she was the most charming singer you ever heard. He finally decided that beauty wasn't but skin deep anyway and took the ugly girl.
