original boards are shelf worn and marked. the book has a previous owner's signature and there is a scar under the front board where a bookplate has been removed.the book is complete with all plates and tissue guards. both fold out maps are present in excellent condition. the binding is excellent. the page numbering is strange and was almost certainly published this way. from page 52 through page 70, incorrect page numbers have been crossed through and the correct nubers have been entered by hand. the pagination at the back of the book is also erratic but by all appearances the book was produced this way.pages 122 through 144 do not appear . this could be the way this was produced.
