Original billhead on beige paper with printed text in black ink and handwriting in black ink and pencil. Letterhead includes a small black and white illustration of people riding in a horse-drawn carriage. Datelined July 4, 1899 [or 1894?] in San Francisco, California. 4 3/4" x 8 1/2." Billhead is clean and intact overall. Paper has a couple vertical fold lines and slight browning coming in about 1 3/4" from the right edge. Tiny hole on "Horses" in the following printed statement: "Particular Attention paid to Boarding Horses." The handwritten portions include the name of the customer, the item(s)/service(s) purchased, the price of the item(s)/service(s), and acknowledgment of the customer's payment. One item/service was paid for. The printed letterhead reads, "[Customer] To R. E. Cole, Dr., Fulton Livery Stable and Riding Academy; 246 Third Street, Bet.
