Original publisher's green cloth binding. No date, circa 1890. 5 1/8" x 9 1/2." Black and white and multicolored illustrations, complete. Book contains a fold-out tourist map with fifteen panels, each measuring about 4 3/4" x 9 1/4." The map, when opened, measures about 73 1/8" x 9 1/4." Map and covers are very clean and intact. Some splitting at the edges of some of the panels. A Fine copy. The map shows parts of Germany, such as cities, sights, and towns, along the Rhine. As suggested by the title, Koln (Cologne) is shown at the top of the map and the tour ends with Mainz at the bottom. Illustrations show points of interest and are accompanied by brief descriptions. The black and white inset illustrations are placed against a multicolored background with the Rhine running the length of the fold-out map in the center. Text is in German.. Book.
