On offer is a remarkable lifetime archive [1880 - 1956] of the Whyte family of Bromley, Kent, England including the scion, Robert Whyte Jr., world renowned singer, cellist, later musical agent for his wife and founder of the Bromley P.S.A., his famous wife and fellow cellist, Margaret Whyte [nee Macleroy] and their daughter Miss Marjorie Whyte, a well known musician and symphony conductor in her own right. The archive is vast including; 1. Personal and business correspondence of Robert Whyte Jr.; 2. Personal correspondence of Mrs. Margaret Whyte; 3. Personal and business correspondence of Miss Marjorie Whyte; 4. Assorted letters from cousins, nephews, friends and other relations; 5. Thirty-five [35] personal diaries and journals of Robert Whyte Jr. covering 1883 through 1919 less 1911 and 1914; 6. Twelve [12] personal and journals of Mrs. Margaret Whyte; 7. Assorted ephemera. The Whyte's, as famous musicians and singers, traveled extensively and had relations with many well known persons of the time.
