The book has a clear, strong, plastic protective cover. The illustrated board cover is resolute, worn about the edges and corners and about the spine seams. About the back cover the spine seams are cracked and split - however, the security of the binding is not affected. The back cover has residue from storage and both front and back are handling marked. The papertrims have shelving and handling marks. The inside front cover is scarred. The table and map are in very neat, tidy condition. The frontis and title pages have been removed.
