4to. A delightful copy of this most scarce beautifully written and illustrated book. Bound in green card covering with forest green cloth spine, this first and only printing is in good overall shape. Cover edges are moderately bumped and chipped, rubbing and chipping to head and foot of spine, partial split to cloth at head of spine. Not cocked or sprung, boards firm and symmetrical. Text block a little loose, fep/rep bear light spotting and tanning. Complete, with 4 moveable diagrams, all in good working order, and 12 royal quarto maps of the heavens through the months. Centre gutters are weak, but PP are tight and show no signs of becomming extant. PP are very clean and tidy, as are all diagrams and maps. C/E slightly deckled.
